[nwssc004] QuiOui & Netwaves @ Coldcut

Coldcut - Journeys By VJ feat. Mike Ladd

Zij spelen enkel copyleft muziek.

bedankt zdnet.be!

the best of Chenard Walcker

BlocSonic has done an incredible job by compiling one of the most remarkable netlabel artists, Chenard Walcker. Chenard is the Frank Zappa of netlabels because of his very personal, psychedelic view on musical creativity. He uses the vinyl collection of his parents to plunder unknown, hidden tracks of the past to mash it up, mix it down and create something irresistable new. This is nothing more than what's art doing for ages. By doing so he makes the listener his witness in a conspiracy to the old world of music business, who rather likes to call his music illegal. But everybody who loves music knows better ... Thanks Chenard, and blocSonic for "Chenard's Massive Menagerie of Earth's Grandest Marvels!". You can also download the complete works, visit the man's website, or his netlabel.

    search for CC stuff

You can search for Creative Commons-licensed media (text, video, photo, audio) in Google, Yahoo, flickr, blip.tv and OWL on one place. While you're in the Creative Commons kitchen, you can also have a look at their wiki-list of 'curators'.

    What's (really) Killing Music

212Quote from Apropos de Nada: "... whose film Before the Music Dies goes beyond facile demonization of downloaders to explore the real sources of malaise in the music industry, which include radio consolidation, mass popstar production, the death-by-Wal-Mart of the traditional record store and more. ..."

    burn station

    from their website:
"Burn Station is a mobile copying station which - as it travels through suburban spaces - supports the free distribution music and audio. It is software as well as a local network. But above all Burn Station is a social event which congregates people together to listen, select and copy net label and net radio audio files with a Copyleft Licence. Burn Station is an open source and a non-commercial project involving the new means of free networked distribution. It is based on the Burn Station software which was developed by Platoniq and Rama as a 100% Free software. Burn Station aims to establish links between the media space and the physical space of the city."
